FAQ
Questions
Is my donation secure?
Yes. You approve the payment on your phone with your PIN, on a secure payment page. The donation is shown as received only after it is confirmed with Fosia's payment account, for the exact amount.
Can I give in my own currency?
Yes. The amounts are in US dollars; before paying you see the estimate in your Mobile Money currency (RWF, KES, UGX, XOF, GHS…), converted at the day's rate, and you approve that amount on your phone.
Can I give anonymously?
Yes: tick “Give anonymously” and your name is not recorded. Your name, e-mail and message are all optional.
Do I get a receipt?
If you give your e-mail address, a receipt is sent once the payment is confirmed. Fosia never uses it for marketing.
Do I have to donate to use Fosia Pay Lite?
No. Fosia Pay Lite, Crowdfunding Lite and Fosia Collect are free, with no limit, whether you donate or not.
