How do I create an affiliate program on WooCommerce?
Install Fosia Affiliates on your WooCommerce shop, set your commission rate and refund period in the guided setup, and share your sign-up page. You approve each partner; each one gets a link, a coupon code and a dashboard. Every month the plugin prepares a payout run, and you pay your affiliates by Mobile Money.
Is this the same as the Fosia affiliate programme?
No. Fosia Affiliates is a plugin you install on your own WooCommerce shop, to run your affiliate programme. If you want to earn by recommending Fosia products, see the Fosia affiliate programme (it runs on this plugin).
Do I need Fosia Pay?
No. Commissions are counted on WooCommerce orders, whatever the payment method: Fosia Pay Lite, Fosia Pay Pro, cards or any other gateway. Fosia Pay Pro is a bonus for payouts: they then go through it and appear in its payout history.
How do I pay my affiliates?
Once a month the plugin prepares a payout run with every affiliate above your minimum. A second person checks it and approves it, then you pay each affiliate by Mobile Money from your own PawaPay merchant account (its payouts key, saved in the plugin) or through Fosia Pay Pro. You can also export the run as a CSV file, pay it another way and mark it as paid. Fosia never holds your money. If your shop sells in US dollars and an affiliate is paid in Rwandan francs, for example, the amount is converted at Fosia Pay's live rate, or at a fixed rate you set in the settings.
Do affiliates earn on renewals?
Yes, by default for life (or for a number of months you choose), with its own rate. A customer brought by an affiliate stays linked to that affiliate by account or e-mail, without any cookie, so later orders and licence renewals bought as new orders are credited too. You can move or remove a link at any time.
What happens when a customer asks for a refund?
Each commission waits for your refund period (14 days by default) before it can be paid. A full or partial refund corrects it automatically; if it was already paid, the amount is deducted from the affiliate's next payout.
Is the tracking cookie allowed without consent?
The referral cookie is set only after the visitor accepts cookies (on by default), through the Fosia cookie banner or any consent tool that supports the WP Consent API. A visitor who accepts on the first page is still credited. Coupon codes credit the affiliate without any cookie.
Yearly or lifetime?
The yearly licence is $9.99 at the launch price, then $19.99 a year once the 100 founders places are sold. Lifetime is $49.99 once, and the first 100 buyers get it for $29.99. Every licence is for 1 site, with a 14-day refund. Yearly licences never renew automatically.
What happens if my licence expires?
Nothing is deleted. Tracking, new applications, new commissions and new payout runs pause until you renew; a run already approved is still followed until it is settled.
What do I need?
WordPress 6.0 or later, WooCommerce 7.0 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. The plugin and the affiliate dashboard are in English and French.
